PhotoCraft Online

Run PhotoCraft in your browser

The open-source web build (v0.18.0), hosted on this site. No install, no account. Your images never leave your device.

Downloads about 13 MB once. Works best in Chrome or Edge; other browsers fall back to WebGL.

Next: get the desktop app

We picked your system. Files come straight from the official GitHub release.

Latest release: v0.18.0 (31 October 2026)

New to it? The download and install guide covers every system, including Linux Flatpak and FreeBSD.

PhotoCraft runs in your browser as well as on your desktop. The web version is the whole editor, engine and interface, compiled to WebAssembly. Press Open PhotoCraft here at the top of this page to start it, or open it full screen in its own tab.

The first launch downloads about 13 MB. After that your browser keeps a copy, so it opens faster next time.

How PhotoCraft online works

Everything runs on your device. This site only delivers the files; it never sees your images.

There is no autosave and no crash recovery in the web version. Save or export your work before you close the tab, reload the page or let your computer sleep for a long time.

Which browsers work?

PhotoCraft draws with WebGPU when the browser has it and falls back to WebGL2 on its own. Chrome and Edge on the desktop have WebGPU. Other browsers use the WebGL2 path, which works but can be slower on big documents.

If something looks wrong, you can force a renderer by adding a flag to the address:

Address What it does
/app/editor WebGPU if available, otherwise WebGL2
/app/editor?webgl Force WebGL2, useful if a WebGPU driver misbehaves
/app/editor?cpu Force the CPU path: slowest, but the most compatible

A browser with neither WebGPU nor WebGL2 shows a message instead of the editor.

Which version is on this site?

The web build here is PhotoCraft v0.18.0, published on 31 October 2026, copied unchanged from the official release and served with its MIT and Apache-2.0 licenses. The desktop downloads always point to the newest release, which can be a little ahead of the web build between our updates.

FAQ

Is PhotoCraft online free?

Yes. The web build is the same open-source editor as the desktop app, released under the MIT or Apache-2.0 license. There is no account and no paid tier.

Are my images uploaded anywhere?

No. The editor and all image processing run on your own device. Opening a file uses your browser's file picker, and saving or exporting downloads a file to your computer.

Why does PhotoCraft say my browser isn't supported?

PhotoCraft needs WebGPU or WebGL2. Almost every current desktop browser has one of them. If you see the message, update your browser, or try Chrome or Edge.

Can I use my own fonts online?

Not in the web version on this site. It includes two fonts, Inter and JetBrains Mono, because browsers don't share your system fonts with web apps. The desktop app uses the fonts installed on your computer.
